Top 10 Best Horror Movies

Down below is the list of Best Horror Movies that will give you sleepless nights:

Hereditary (2018)

Hereditary follows the journey of the Grahams, who are dealing with their grief following the death of their matriarch. Hereditary takes it time to engage the audience with its horror elements as it focuses on different ways in which people deal with grief but when another tragedy befell the Graham family things really take a dark turn and believe me when I say "you won't be able to take your eyes off this one".

A terrific entry in the horror genre by David Sandberg. This movie will surely keep you glued to the story irrespective of the horror that it creates at every instance. Insidious (2010)

Did you know that some people are born with an ability to travel in their dreams to an astral plane? Some even go as far as "The Further." But it's not a pleasant journey. The “further” is the place for the dead, who has a tortured soul. Worse, the souls can even take control of your ability and by your body, they can come to the world of reality. Sounds terrific? Watch this movie tonight (but not alone) to experience the frightfulness that can not be described by the words alone!

The Conjuring (2013)

Very few Hollywood horror movies have left a mark among its audience. But this one gives you enough of heebie-jeebies to last for a week or more. A sweet family with their pet dog, move into a dilapidated farmhouse, only to later realize that it is severely haunted by some supernatural power. After facing several horrifying sightings and accidents, the couple decides to call the demonologists. The analysis done reveals that the plot was of an accused witch who sacrificed her week-old child to the devil. Sounds enough scary, isn't it? It is strongly recommended not to watch this movie alone especially at night hours.

 Best Horror Movies

Paranormal Activity (2007)

Of the torrent of found-footage movies released in the wake of The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity was the scariest, largely because it was like the Blair Witch had gotten into your house. Each night the CCTV cameras catch an intensified series of troubling activity haunting the Sloat family’s new house – doors slam, bedsheets fly across the room, Ouija boards catch fire. It was the anticipation that soiled the seats.

 Best Horror Movies

It Follows (2014)

It follows seems like a simple teen flick until it merges the thrill of The Ring, The Thing, and Halloween: shag the wrong Tinder moron and a supernatural shape-shifter will amble unstoppably towards you, scrunching you to death unless you have sex with someone before it arrives and passes it on to them. Presumably based on some of the more persistent Facebook stalkers we’ve run into, It Follows had the ability to make you terrified of slow-moving queues.

 Best Horror Movies

Psycho (1960)

Most of Alfred Hitchcock's films could be described as suspenseful, but it wasn't until this 1960 classic that the legendary filmmaker began dabbling in full-bore horror. Anthony Perkins' amazing performance as "mama's boy" Norman Bates is only one of this brilliant thriller's big assets, and that nasty jolt of an ending still packs a punch even if you already know what's coming. Starring Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, and Vera Miles as lead this movie was ahead of its time.

Get Out (2017)

There's a tendency to let great horror movies percolate for a few years before putting them on any sort of "all-time greatest" lists, but, oh well, Get Out is just that good. After all, how many horror films can you name that won Best Original Screenplay? Astute horror fans will notice all sorts of DNA floating through this tale of abduction and alienation but first-time feature director Jordan Peele brings more than enough originality to the party -- partially because he's not afraid to bring up difficult questions related to racial inequality, but he's also damn insistent on delivering a smart, strange, unpredictable thriller that doesn't skimp on what horror fans want.
